AWR Web Design will register your domain name or transfer your existing domain. Selecting a domain name is not a simple process.  We will assist you in finding the right domain name for your business or organization as well as handle all registration and renewal procedures.  Already have a domain name registered somewhere else? We can assist you in transferring your domain to AWR Web Design.

All design agreements include the first year of domain registration for free. (a $15 value). Additionally, all annual maintenance agreements also include free domain registration. Optional domain services available such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).

What is SSL and why do I need it?

The SSL (and TLS) protocol is the Web standard for encrypting communications between users and SSL (secure sockets layer) e-commerce sites. Data sent via an SSL connection is protected by encryption, a mechanism that prevents eavesdropping and tampering with any transmitted data. SSL provides businesses and consumers with the confidence that private data sent to a Web site, such as credit card numbers, are kept confidential. Web server certificates (also known as secure server certificates or SSL certificates) are required to initialize an SSL session.

Customers know when they have an SSL session with a website when their browser displays the little gold padlock and the address bar begins with a https rather than http. SSL certificates are available from AWR Web Design for as low as $19.95 per month when purchased for a year.  If you want to give your business customers "piece of mind" when sending data over your web site, then you should consider adding SSL to your site.
